Panang Curry vs. Red Curry: Which Should You Order?
Two Thai curries, explained
Thai curry is one of the most-searched dishes in Stuart, FL, and at Mai Thai Sushi & Ramen we serve two classics: Panang Curry and Red Curry. Both are made with coconut milk and served with white rice, but they suit different moods.
Red Curry ($13.95)
Our Red Curry is built on red curry paste and coconut milk, simmered with bamboo shoots, bell pepper and basil leaves. It is bright and aromatic, with a gentle heat that builds as you eat. Pick red curry if you like a lighter, soupier curry.
Panang Curry ($13.95)
Panang Curry is thicker, richer and slightly sweeter. We make it with Panang curry paste, coconut milk, ground peanuts, kaffir lime leaves and seasonal vegetables. It is the curry to order if you like nutty, creamy flavors.
How to choose
- Want bright and aromatic? Red Curry.
- Want rich, creamy and nutty? Panang Curry.
- Craving something special? Ask for the Duck Special ($25.95): crispy fried duck with your choice of Red Curry or Panang sauce, served with rice.
Pair your curry
A curry goes well with a light start: try the Green Salad with ginger dressing, Seaweed Salad or Edamame. Then cool down with a Thai Tea.
